Я не знаю, как исправить первую проблему, но вторая должна быть исправлена с обновлением строк, чтобы это выглядело в /etc /default /grub

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=quiet   #Don't show Ubuntu bootup text
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="console=tty12" #Don't show kernel text

После этого вам нужно будет запустить sudo update-grub чтобы отправить обновления в grub.
