Я думал, что ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host , вызвано /etc/hosts.allow и / или /etc/hosts.deny , но единственная запись allow - ALL:ALL а deny - пусто.

На моей виртуальной машине Google Cloud я добавил:

  1. ALL:ALL в \etc\hosts.allow и \etc\hosts.deny пусто

  2. Настройка правила брандмауэра для виртуальной машины Google Cloud, разрешающая tcp:2222

  3. GatewayPorts clientspecified в /etc/ssh/sshd_config

От места назначения (компьютера, к которому я хочу получить доступ) до виртуальной машины Google Cloud:

ssh -R 0.0.0.0:2222:localhost:22 -i google_compute_engine -o UserKnownHostsFile=/dev/null -o CheckHostIP=no -o StrictHostKeyChecking=no <username>@<google vm ip>

После этого Netstat -plant 2222 дает:

tcp        0      0 0.0.0.0:2222            0.0.0.0:*               LISTEN      2700/0

В виртуальной машине Google Cloud:

ssh -p 2222 -i google_compute_engine localhost -v

Если я удаляю -p 2222, команда ssh подключается локально.
