Попробуйте открыть файл с помощью программы MediaInfo, он попытается идентифицировать файл и посмотреть, с чем он был закодирован.
Это может быть так же просто, как переименование файла в .avi, или вам может понадобиться скачать конвертер, но вы по крайней мере будете знать, из какого он формата, чтобы найти совместимый конвертер.
