Почему cpanm терпит неудачу в дистрибутивах без надлежащих make-файлов, где успешно работает cpan -i?

Question

Я на Strawberry Perl на Windows 7 64-битной. cpanm не работает, как это для многих пакетов в cpan:

$ cpanm Getopt::Long::Descriptive

Тем не менее, cpan -i Getopt::Long::Descriptive завершается успешно. Есть идеи почему?

РЕДАКТИРОВАТЬ (проблема распаковки)

Удивительно, но кажется, что файлы распакованы, но никогда не появляются на диске!

Оказывается, в этом случае виноват tar UnxUtils. Я не уверен, как был создан архив Getopt::Long::Descriptive , но tar UnxUtils выравнивает содержимое при распаковке.

С другой стороны, tar GnuWin32 прекрасно справляется с архивом.
