Усилить захват alsa сверх 100%?

Question

Я использую ALSA. Громкость моего микрофона настолько мала, что даже 100% громкости захвата недостаточно при разговоре по скайпу. Есть ли способ увеличить объем захвата сверх 100%?

Я не могу использовать pulseaudio. Поскольку мой компьютер очень старый, использование pulseaudio с skype потребляет большую часть ресурсов процессора, поэтому качество видеочата становится неприемлемым.
