Несколько месяцев назад у моего любимого телефона скончался HTC One M7, и местный телефонный специалист с высоким рейтингом не смог его воскресить. Она очень хотела получить как можно больше данных из телефона, но, поскольку он не включался, а тем более перебирал через USB, обычные методы восстановления данных были невозможны.
С традиционными решениями, казалось бы, исчерпанными, я решил стать нетрадиционным. Поскольку телефон был уже эффективно и безвозвратно кирпичен, у меня появился очень опытный друг, чтобы разобрать телефон и вынуть чип eMMC из платы. Я купил eMMC pogo pin-ридер, поместил в него чип и попытался прочитать его на своем ПК с Linux.
К моему удивлению, чип оказался опознанным ОС и появился в /dev с узлами /dev/mmcblk0
, /dev/mmcblk0boot0
и /dev/mmcblk0boot1
, что и ожидалось. Однако ОС не сообщала о разделах, и сброс всех блочных устройств не дал ничего, кроме моря нулей.
Это последняя часть, которая запутала меня. "Естественное" состояние флэш-ячейки является логически высоким (0xFFFF ....), и это то, что я ожидаю увидеть, если чип был поврежден во время извлечения или контакты pogo не имели надлежащего контакта. Но здесь я вижу все нули. Мне кажется немыслимым, что вся микросхема могла быть заполнена нулями при любой нормальной работе или даже неконтролируемой программе, работающей с привилегиями root на телефоне.
Мой вопрос: вижу ли я настоящее текущее состояние чипа, или я что-то испортил, пытаясь подключить его и поговорить с ним? Есть ли что-то еще, что можно попробовать, или я в конце игры?
