Несоответствие размера оперативной памяти: CPU-Z против BIOS и Windows

Первоначально у меня было 4 ГБ оперативной памяти (4 * 1 ГБ), и все работало как шарм.
Несколько месяцев назад одна из моих карт памяти вышла из строя, поэтому мне пришлось вынуть ее и выбросить.

Несколько дней назад я купил 2 новые идентичные карты и установил их,
Таким образом, есть 2 * 1 ГБ одного производителя (Kingston) и 2 * 1 ГБ другого (CEON).
В целом это должно вернуть меня к 4 ГБ двухканальному.

CPU-Z сообщает, что все они установлены (отчет CPU-Z),
но при запуске BIOS он показывает 3145728K, и Windows также распознает только 3 ГБ (системная информация).

Так... Где проблема?

Due to an architectural decision made long ago, if you have 4GB of physical RAM installed, Windows is only able to report a portion of the physical 4GB of RAM (ranges from ~2.75GB to 3.5GB depending on the devices installed, motherboard's chipset & BIOS).

This behavior is due to "memory mapped IO reservations". Those reservations overlay the physical address space and mask out those physical addresses so that they cannot be used for working memory. This is independent of the OS running on the machine.
