Похоже, вам просто нужно обновить gitlab-shell , это можно сделать с помощью следующего набора команд:

git clone https://github.com/gitlabhq/gitlab-shell.git
cp config.yml.example config.yml
vim config.yml

убедитесь, что вы заменили gitlab_url на нужный URL

sudo -u git -H ./bin/install
